marked winners of the NASFM Retail Design Awards 2001. announced at GlobalShop in March. Store of the Year honors went to Richards of Greenwich in Greenwich, Conn. (see Greenwich Villa," April 2001, page 401, a Fitzpatrick Design Group project. Judges admired Richards' architectural beauty, attention to detail and focus on customer service. A Fixture of the Year award (a first for this competition) was given to Skechers USA for its Futuristic Display at University City, Calif. ME Productions Inc. designed the fixture and Premier Displays & Exhibits manufactured it.
Judges also gave 12 category Grand Prize awards, 26 category Outstanding Merit awards and 13 Special Merit awards for Outstanding Store Fixtures. The jury included:

The 30th annual competition is sponsored by the National Association of Store Fixture Manufacturers and cosponsored by VM+SD.
